Dear Lara, Dear Andrea,
Good afternoon! Thank you for such a prompt reply to my message. My son, Étienne Gilles (Sainte-Marie Bastide school in France), just returned last night from his trip to Canterbury, which was organized by your company. He spent 7 days / 7 nights staying with Anne-Lise Wells and her son, Max. I feel it’s important to give credit where credit is due, so allow me to take a moment to do so.
I was a bit anxious about this trip, especially the idea of my son staying with a stranger so far away from home. That being said, I have fairly high standards, and was incredibly relieved at what my son experienced in Ms. Well’s home. Anne-Lise made every effort to make the boys feel comfortable and at ease. She prepared meals that were not only plentiful, but also qualitative according to my son. In fact, he told me he had the best packed lunches out of his classmates. She made an effort to introduce my son to British culture, such as foods and customs. He had everything he needed and never wanted for anything. Anne-Lise was available by phone and text messages, and kept me informed through photos as well.
I want you to know that Anne-Lise’s hospitality and care was an important part of this unforgettable week for my son. Thank you so much!
Best regards,
Tricia Vaughan Gilles
