Performing Arts

The Performing Arts course is taught by specialist tutors and includes acting, dancing, singing and stage management. Course is open to all ages 8-17 from beginners to experienced performers.
• All course and materials in English
• Final performance with whole school
• Presentation online of course highlights and performance
• Option to see a West End show
Our instructors will work with you to create an end-of-course show every two weeks. Lots of fun on this programme and great for improving your English too!

Leadership Skills

Intensive course for teenagers aged 14-17 focusing on critical thinking, debating and strategies for public speaking. Topics include politics, global economics and social responsibility.

• An Open Mind: Increasing students’ knowledge and use of English
• Successful Presentations: Raising awareness of language for signposting
• Cultures and Customs: Etiquette round the world; meeting people

• Leadership and Entrepreneurship: Personality styles and essential qualities

Global Green Environment

Environmental awareness and sustainability are crucial topics for students who will develop to be our future leaders and influencers, affecting worldwide decision making.
• Develop awareness of Global Environmental issues
• Develop life skills
• Grow as responsible, considerate youngsters
• Improve language fluency, productive & receptive skills; vocabulary resource
• Increase knowledge about sustainable development, global and local projects

Creative Arts

Location is a huge inspiration for artists and looking at other art, traditional and modern, provides students with opportunities and sources for their own creativity.
•Students visit one or two local galleries for ideas and inspiration before starting work on their own creative art
•Students work on the beach or back at college.
•Drawing, painting, photograph printing and mini-canvases included
•Students can take their work home.

FCE Exam Preparation

Students study 20 hours General Summer English course as normal each week. In addition, students can join this intensive 4-hour per week FCE exam preparation course.
•Classes will be held in the afternoons (centres will offer different dates)
•Provides an ideal opportunity for students to focus on specific exam techniques.
•Students must be aged 14-17 as topics are age-related.
•Students need to have achieved a minimum CEFR B2 level to take this course.

Horse riding

This is a short introductory course for beginners designed for those who are interested in learning about horses.
•Essential things to know about the practical aspects of horse care.
•Riding, safety, and enjoyment of being with horses.
•Stable Management - feeding and brushing the horses
•The course is held at a local riding school.
This course is not suitable for advanced riders, however we can arrange riding sessions on request.

Tennis

Our tennis programme is run by experienced and qualified Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) coaches. After an initial assessment, students will receive:
•1:1, 1:2 and 1:4 coaching and doubles games.
•Coaches will focus on skills including serving, team play, forehand and backhand volleys, and other techniques.
•4 hours per week coaching plus access to the tennis courts at the school during free time.
•Programme takes place on the school campus or at the local tennis club.
•Beginners welcome, open to all ages from 8 to 17

Football

This is a fun course with a professional Level 1 or 2 soccer coach. After an initial assessment, students will:
•Practise a mixture of skills including ball control, penalty taking and teamwork
•Play a number of small sided matches each week
•4 hours per week coaching plus access to the football fields at the school during free time.
•Programme takes place at the school.
•Beginners welcome, open to all ages from 8 to 17

Golf

An intensive course with Level 2+ PGA Coach. Children can join with a range of abilities from beginner to experienced.
•Covers the rules of golf and etiquette,
•Putting, pitching, bunker play, short and long game techniques.
•Mixture of time on the course, putting green and driving range
•4 hours per week coaching including accompanying staff and transport to the local club.
•Small groups, typically of 4 to 8 children per coach. 1:1 coaching available on request.
