As a British Council accredited School we espouse the same aspirations for young people: We believe in the potential of young people to create a better world. Inspired by this optimism, we are positive and creative and we focus on what works.

This course has been designed to welcome young adults who want to experience aspects of local city life and British culture. The programme combines formal classes of 15hrs English followed by a range of different activities to introduce students to this region of Kent, known as the Garden of England, and to contemporary British life: its history, values and evolving multi-cultural customs.

Academic Programme

  • 15 hours (20 lessons) of tuition each week in international classes
  • ‘Conversation Club’ for debates and topical discussions
  • Focus on speaking, listening, pronunciation and British culture
  • Small class size limited to 12 students

 

Activities & Excursions

Concorde International
  • 1 full‐day excursion per week: London, Cambridge, Oxford or Brighton
  • 1 half‐day excursion per week: Local visit in Kent
  • Orientation tour of Canterbury City Centre on first afternoon
  • Local visits include the famous Cathedral, Westgate Towers, River Tour
  • Two evening activities per week: Art, heritage, history, 1 evening BBQ

Accommodation

  • Residential accommodation in en-suite study bedroom
  • For 18 years old +: Half board option available (breakfast and lunch only)

Evening meals with Concorde staff at many of the wide range of food outlets in the town. This develops and practises the social English learnt in the lessons.
