With Concorde International in Canterbury, you and your family can combine high-quality academic studying with a flexible, fun, programme especially designed for family groups.

Are you looking for a summer English Activity course for your family in a great city with a nice environment?

Concorde International welcomes you and your family to our Family Study Programme. Canterbury provides an ideal environment for children with its pedestrianised centre, parks and gardens. The self-catering accommodation is within easy walking distance of the college and city centre. The local beach is only a short bus ride from Canterbury.

Features of the course

  • 1 full-day excursion per week to family friendly locations with our staff
  • 1 half-day excursion per week to somewhere very English!
  • Orientation tour of Canterbury City Centre on first afternoon
  • Family sports and games afternoon, and one evening activity
  • Family graduation on final day
  • Meet other families and adult students at the welcome BBQ

Tuition

Concorde International

The School arranges ‘English Playtime’ for children aged 5 to 7 years, and Junior Summer School for children aged 8 to 17 years.

Parents can study General English at our Adult Summer Centre, or Business English at the Business School.

Two options for families with children: Tuition only or Tuition & Family Activity Programme

Aged 5 to 7 years

Our Playtime course welcomes the youngest family members each summer; children aged 5-7 learn English through activities. Our experienced and qualified teachers keep things light and fun.
*Playtime is not accredited by the British Council.

Family Activity Programme

Once you have chosen a morning weekday course from the choices above, why not combine it with our Family Activity Programme? It offers a good balance of fun, cultural and social events for you to enjoy together and you can mix with other families from all over the world.

Includes:

  • 1 x Half Day Excursion per week
  • 1 x Full Day Excursion per week
  • 2 x Afternoon Activities per week

Care of under -18s

All of Concorde’s staff are DBS checked and have undergone safeguarding training. Please refer to our website and enrolment form for rules regarding under-18s.

Self-Catering Accommodation

Concorde can book your accommodation with a choice of university self-catering apartments or houses, all within walking distance of the city centre and schools. Deposit will be required to secure the booking.

Families have their own house or apartment with the following:

  • A choice of 2-6 beds, depending on the size of your family
  • Kitchen with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans
  • Dining area and living room
  • WiFi throughout the accommodation
