English summer school at Hampshire Collegiate School with Concorde International

Learning English in England is a popular activity for overseas students especially during the school holidays in July and August

6th June 2018 — Concorde International accredited by the British Council has been organising the English summer school and activity programmes for the past 45 years.

This summer Concorde, highly regarded for its creative and interactive approach to language learning, offers young learners from the age of 8 to 15 years old, the opportunity to study English and join in an adventure activity programme at Hampshire Collegiate School (HCS).


Accompanied Excursions to London, Bath, Oxford, Salisbury and Stonehenge are included in this summer programme and for some lucky winners the chance to have a free trip to The Warner Brothers 'Harry Potter Studios'!

Situated within the beautiful Hampshire countryside close to the New Forest Romsey Abbey, and Southampton,the Collegiate School provides a safe and happy environment in which young people from all over the world can make friends and break their language barrier.

English teachers and activity leaders living in the school provide a fully inclusive programme with English classes in the mornings plus a variety of sports, arts and drama in the afternoons and evenings.

This 'English in Action' programme is directed by an experienced partnership of Academic Director Maria, Centre Manager Eileen who have formerly managed Concorde summer schools in Bath and Ascot. Together with their teachers and leaders they offer friendly care and encouragement for young people to not only improve their English language but also to grow in confidence.

Enrolment commences on the 8th July and with just 75 places available each week parents are encouraged to make early apply application.

UK entry advice

If you are travelling on a European passport and are concerned about entry into the UK, the British Government has published its guidance:

There will be no change to the rights and status of EU citizens currently living in the UK until 30 June 2021, or 31 December 2020 if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.

The arrangements described here will also apply to citizens of Switzerland arriving after exit in a no deal scenario.

After the UK leaves the EU, if there is no Brexit deal, EEA citizens will be able to enter the UK as they do now (for an interim period).
