Studying English in England on a summer school for young learners offers an ideal opportunity for many overseas students wanting to improve their English.
Concorde International Summer Schools has been arranging programmes for 36 years and in July/August will be offering courses in Bath at the City College, situated in the centre of the city, just a few minutes walk from the world famous Roman Baths, Pump Room and Abbey. Bath a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site is a lively university city offering a classic environment where young people aged 12 to 17 years can learn English at the College while living with an English homestay family. Alternatively, students can choose to live in the international hall of residence where they join in a programme of activities from breakfast to bedtime, supervised by the English staff living with them.
“The courses are a total immersion in English” said Danny Bowles, Vacation Courses Director, “and Bath is a great place to stay, there are many local attractions, summer festivals and even a Hot Air Balloon Competition”. Concorde International programmes include excursions to London, Oxford, Salisbury and Stonehenge. The school fees include all accommodation charges and course expenses, so students need only pocket money.
The school’s couriers provide a meet and greet service at London airports transferring students to Bath and back to the airport check-in at the end of their course. “We aim to provide total care and security for parents sending their children on a summer school”, said School Director, Colin Stone.
