Students Complete Business Management Foundation Course

Eight students studying at Concorde International have just completed their exams for the University Foundation Course in Business Management.
This certificate level course enables foreign students to improve their business English in preparation for higher education.
The students have now completed their exams and are preparing for their chosen university degrees. Courses they have applied for include BAs and MAs in subjects such as business, marketing, management and finance.
Throughout the certificate in business management the students are supported and helped towards choosing and applying for a university course. Teachers prepare them for university entrance and they are helped with their applications during the course.
Concorde also take the students on visits to universities, arranges for universities to visit Canterbury to give introductory lectures and provides tours of the Christchurch University library in Canterbury.
Subjects taught on the course include academic study skills; which includes how to research, write assignments and use university libraries. Business modules are also taught that are examined at the end of the course and accredited by ABE (Association of Business Executives).
The business course dates run for an academic year from October to June, with the next one starting in October 2011. There is also a fast-track course available for more experienced students from January to June.
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam is also taken during this course. Students are required to reach a certain level in this exam in order to get into a UK university.
