For those wanting to learn to teach English as a foreign language, Concorde International offer a great range of CELTA and teacher training courses.
The CELTA or Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults is a long-established and well respected English teaching course. It is the leading qualification for people with little or no teaching experience and enables participants to get the English teaching skills that they can use around the world.
The CELTA course at Concorde International takes place over a period of four weeks. The course is taught in small groups of up to 12, so each pupil can be assured of individual attention. We have CELTA courses throughout the year with the next one starting on September 3rd 2012. CELTA is awarded by Cambridge ESOL, which means it is a high standard course.
The other option we have for those who want to teach English is the Teacher Development English Language Course. This is aimed at those who are non-native English speakers but have a good knowledge of the language. The course enables them to learn to teach English to pupils of any age.
The Teacher Development course helps improve participants own English Language skills as well as developing their professional teaching skills. As with the CELTA course, the classes are kept small and usually consist of eight to ten pupils at a time. The course runs for two weeks and the next one starts on 2 September 2012.
