Folkestone
One of the sunniest seaside resorts in England, Folkestone is enormously popular with Concorde International students who have been visiting the town for over 20 years.
Situated on the south coast, the town has a colourful fishing harbour which has a sandy beach on one side and a pebble beach on the other.
Surrounded by beautiful Kent countryside, the "Garden of England", Folkestone is also very close to a number of historic castles and gardens. The world famous Cathedral city of Canterbury is only 30 minutes drive away.
The School
The school is located in a pleasant residential area and set in spacious grounds with playing fields that provide a secure environment. There is easy access to London for excursions.
There is a large hall for students meetings, drama sessions and "English in Action" workshops. All classrooms are large and well decorated.
Sport facilities:
Swimming, tennis, basketball and football are all available at the town's excellent sports centre - it even has a dry ski slope!
Overlooking the East Cliff and sands is the pitch-and-putt golf course, popular with students of every age.
The Accommodation
Residential
Rooms with 1/2/3 beds, some with wash hand basins. Shared facilities with showers and baths. Common rooms with TV and video. Table tennis and pool available in the hall.
Homestay
In Folkestone most of the accommodation is within walking distance of the school. We have a long association with Folkestone and families really enjoy looking after our students. They will provide a picnic lunch everyday. Hot lunch is available at the school for a small extra charge.
