Bath
You will not be disappointed in Bath with its Regency architecture, its splendid Abbey, the Roman Baths, the Pump Room and magnificent Royal Crescent. Nowadays it is popular with students who come to study and for people who come to enjoy the different festivals and events held each year.
The School
City College is located in the city centre and has large bright classrooms with all modern facilities. It is close to the bus station for home-stay students and for those in residence it is just a 10 minute walk to school each day. Close by there is a large public park, suitable for afternoon activities and makes an ideal spot to enjoy a packed lunch on warm summer days. It is also close to the local sports and leisure centre close to the school.
The Accommodation
Residential
We have taken an allocation of 90 beds in the YMCA in the city centre. The rooms have 4 - 6 beds with some lager rooms for groups of friends and all have shared facilities. Breakfast lunch and dinner are provided each day. There are two recreation rooms which can be used in the evenings and there is a gym on the lower ground floor.
The accommodation is about 10 minutes walk from the classrooms at City College.
Homestay
Homestay accommodation is also available and we have a lot of good families in the area. Most of these are outside of the city centre and students will need to take a bus into school each day. The weekly bus pass was GBP 12 per week in 2008. Families provide breakfast and dinner and a packed lunch each day.
