Ashford
Ashford is a traditional market town which has seen a large increase in population since the opening of the Channel Tunnel. It is ideal for students travelling from the continent by Eurostar.
It is conveniently located close to the coastal towns, with Folkestone only 10 minutes drive away. The famous city of Canterbury is also close by and London can be reached in 70 minutes via the nearby M20 motorway.
The school
The College of Technology is a modern building close to the town centre. There is a large hall for performances and presentations.
The Accommodation
Homestay
We have a lot of good families in the area but most of these are outside of the town centre and students will need to take a bus into school each day. This normally takes about 10 minutes and students walk from the bus station to the school.
The weekly bus pass was GBP 12 per week in 2008. Families provide breakfast and dinner and a packed lunch each day.
