Targeting ICAO Level 4 Proficiency (Minimum entry level: ICAO Level 3 or Lower Intermediate)

  • Listed on ICAO Training Directory
  • Specialised Air Traffic Control Vocabulary with emphasis on speaking and listening skills, traffic analysis, case studies etc
  • Specialised Aviation English teacher and an Experienced Commercial Pilot
  • Technical visit to Kent International Airport conducted by Local Controllers

Study Hours 25 hours per week
(09:00 - 12:30 - Monday to Friday)
(13:45 - 16:30 - Monday to Thursday)
Start Dates 13th November 2011
Entry Level Minimum ICAO Level 3 to 4
Lower Intermediate to Upper Intermediate
Course Duration 4 weeks (Shorter courses by arrangement)
Class Size and Lessons Maximum 6 - All lessons of one hour duration
Course Profile

15 hours per week of group Specialised Air Traffic Control Vocabulary Monday to Friday mornings with emphasis on speaking and listening skills, traffic analysis, case studies etc.

The course books used are Aviation English by MacMillan with practical examples from our Specialised Aviation English teacher and an experienced commercial pilot.

10 hours of group General English lessons per week over four afternoons.

4 hours for one afternoon visit to Kent International Airport conducted by local controllers.

Three afternoon tours of Canterbury or other towns in Kent accompanied by a teacher. This is one tour per week.

Weekends are free time.
