If you know London then you will know that Hampstead is one of the best addresses in town! If you are new to London then this is your opportunity to get to know it very well. Students and staff in this centre make the most of the central location and visit many of the famous attractions on its doorstep. The underground station is just two minutes walk from the school.

The school is located in a pleasant area just off the high street. It is a self-contained boarding school with classrooms, large hall and some accommodation for some staff and the younger students.

All residential staff have their own bedrooms with shared facilities at the Royal School and there is additional en-suite accommodation at Usher Hall in Hendon. There is a coach which transports students and staff to the Royal School each day for classes, activities and excursions and three meals a day are provided in the school dining room. Laundry facilities are on both sites.

Teachers have their own preparation room with a wide range of up-to-date academic resources specifically designed for young learners and teenagers. Concorde International has invested heavily in its academic resources in the last couple of years to ensure both teachers and students receive the best possible quality of learning.
Activity staff have ample sports equipment, arts and crafts materials, microphones and amplifiers and other resources available to create the perfect activity programme.
Sport facilities
Hampstead is not a sports centre as facilities are limited at the school. However, within the school grounds, there is a playing area for basketball, volleyball and free time. Nearby Hampstead Heath offers ample space for team games.

Things to bring with you if you are living in residential centres
Teachers are expected to appear in clothes which are in a good state of repair when in contact with students or Group Leaders.
- Men are asked to wear clean smart trousers, collared shirts and shoes. Women are asked to avoid any revealing items of clothing.
- Stomach, chest and upper part of legs must be covered.
- Teachers must not wear jeans, shorts or flip flops in the classroom.
- Laundry facilities are provided at all residential centres and we expect you to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Teachers need to have more formal shoes for the classroom (no trainers) and trainers / comfortable shoes for sports, activities and excursions.
- We will provide you with a Concorde International polo shirt to wear for activities and excursions so you can be clearly identifiable.
- Teachers do not need to bring any stationery or academic resources as this is all provided unless you prefer to do so.
Activity Staff will be provided with a Concorde International polo shirt which you need to wear for activities and excursions so you can be clearly identifiable and at all times while you are on duty. You can choose to wear jeans (no ripped jeans), sports trousers, shorts etc. and trainers are preferable as you will be moving around a lot!
Directors need to dress in a smart-casual manner and remember that they need to portray a professional image at all times while on duty.
Everyone should consider bringing the following items:
- Comfortable clothing for when you are off duty
- Jacket / coat for those rainy days (hopefully not too many of these!)
- Swimming costumes
- Sports clothes
- Nightwear
- Towels – you might prefer to buy these in London when you arrive as these are relatively cheap and might save you money on excess baggage
- An alarm clock!
- Toiletries – again, you can purchase these locally if you prefer not to carry too much
- Laptops, MP3s, jewellery, mobile phones etc. are all brought at your own risk and you remain responsible for your own possessions at all times.
