South Kent College and Eversley College, Folkestone
Folkestone is one of the sunniest seaside resorts in England and Concorde International has run summer schools here for over 20 years. Situated on the South East coast, the town has a colourful fishing harbour which has a sandy beach on one side and a pebble beach on the other. Surrounded by beautiful Kent countryside, the "Garden of England", Folkestone is also very close to a number of historic castles and gardens. The world famous Cathedral city of Canterbury is only 30 minutes drive away and is also the terminal for the Eurotunnel.

Folkestone has an attractive pedestrianised shopping centre with all major shops within 20 minutes walk of the school. A cup of coffee will cost about £1.50, a pint of beer about £2.50. Both train stations are very close which allows easy access around Kent and in to London if you want to travel on your days off.

For the first two weeks of the summer we are based at South Kent College on Shorncliffe Road which is a large campus next to Radnor Park. In July we move to Eversley College and the size of the centre increases. Eversley college is a self-contained boarding school with all classrooms, hall, dining hall and accommodation for staff and students all in one building.

All residential staff have their own bedrooms with shared facilities. Accommodation is limited as Eversley is a small residential centre with the majority of students in Homestay. There are no cooking facilities in the bedrooms but three meals a day are provided in the school dining room for residential staff. There are also several staff common rooms with TV for relaxation and tea / coffee making facilities. Laundry facilities are all on site.
Teachers have their own preparation area with a wide range of up-to-date academic resources specifically designed for young learners and teenagers. Concorde International has invested heavily in its academic resources in the last couple of years to ensure both teachers and students receive the best possible quality of learning.
Activity staff have ample sports equipment, arts and crafts materials, microphones and amplifiers and other resources available to create the perfect activity programme.
Facilities on site:
- Large hall for evening activities.
- Views of the sea from most rooms.
- Extensive playing fields for football, cricket and other outdoor sports.
- Large classrooms and common areas.

- Toiletries – again, you can purchase these locally if you prefer not to carry too much
- Laptops, MP3s, jewellery, mobile phones etc. are all brought at your own risk and you remain responsible for your own possessions at all times.
